Pokemon News:

Pokemon Stadium Wii U?

A mysterious screenshot has been floating around the news that seems to reveal that some type of Pokemon project is underway for the Wii U. The traditional games have always been handheld exclusives, but consoles have seen entries into the franchise of limited scopes before.

The first entry for Pokemon into home consoles was Pokemon Stadium for the Nintendo 64. It was accompanied by a sequel, Pokemon Puzzle League and Pokemon Snap. Bringing Pokemon to life for 3-D battles only left gamers wanting more. For years there has been demand for a full 3-D entry for home consoles, or even an open world sandbox style game for the franchise.

While nothing has been made official yet, a screenshot captured at the Pokemon Game Show shows 2 Pokemon facing off for battle in full 3-D graphics. Whether this will be a brand new adventure for the Wii U, a port of Pokemon X and Pokemon Y for the Wii U, or just another home console installment to accompany the release of the portable game remains to be seen.  Pokemon Stadium Wii U? Pokemon XY Wii U? Just a teaser?

What do you want the game to be?
